A morning routine for slow makers

Mornings set the tone for the kind of maker I get to be that day. When I rush into screens, the work feels brittle. When I move slowly, the work feels alive.

These are the five small rituals I keep coming back to: a glass of water before coffee, ten minutes outside, a single handwritten page, a short walk with no phone, and one quiet task before any notifications.

None of them are revolutionary. Together, they're the difference between reacting to the day and actually arriving in it.
