Using AI as a quiet collaborator

Apr 9, 2026 · 5 min read

I don't think of AI as a replacement for the craft. I think of it as a quiet collaborator — the kind that handles the noisy, repetitive parts so I have more room for the parts only I can do.

It drafts the boring email. It summarizes the long doc. It helps me name things when my brain is tired. And then I step in, edit with intention, and make the work feel like mine again.

The goal isn't speed for speed's sake. It's protecting the time and energy that real ideas need.
